Can I use KeKu from any phone?

Yes. You can use KeKu from any phone you register. To register a phone, just log into your account and select Register Phones. Your Local Numbers will work automatically from any phone you register. Dial them just like a regular call - no access numbers or PIN codes.

If you would like to use KeKu's service from a phone you do not wish to register - like a public phone - simply dial an Access Number or KeKu Local Number and enter your PIN code when prompted. Log into your account to look up Access Numbers and your PIN code.

Why do I want the KeKu app?

There are three reasons. First, KeKu app users can call each other free from anywhere in the world. Second, you can create Local Numbers with the press of a button – right out of your address book. (Already dial Local Numbers from your mobile? They will still work if you download the app.) And third, the KeKu app gives you options to make calls through your minute plan, data plan or even WiFi. We make it simple to make the choice right for you.

What is a KeKu Local Number?

KeKu Local Numbers are phone numbers local to you that KeKu assigns to your contacts' international numbers. You can dial the KeKu Local Numbers to reach your international contacts without dialing a PIN code or Access Number. You'll pay KeKu's inexpensive rates instead of the over-priced international rates your phone service provider would charge you.

Can I register more than one phone to my account?

Yes. You can register up to 20 phone numbers to your account.

Can I register an office, hotel, or other public phone to my account?

For your protection, you should not register public phone numbers to your account. It could give others access to your account without your permission.

How do I make a call with a phone that has blocked caller ID?

If the caller ID on your phone is blocked, you need to enter *82 before dialing a KeKu Local Number in order for our system to recognize the number you are calling from. That will unblock the caller ID for this call only.

Is there a connection fee for the calls I place?

KeKu does not charge connection fees. You only pay for the minutes you use.

Inside the KeKu app, what do those FREE icons next to some contacts in my address book mean? Can I call those friends for free?

Yes. The free icon next to your KeKu contact means that your contact is also using the KeKu application. When you call a friend and you are both using KeKu, then the calls are free. The call will be made over the Internet, so you will need WiFi or 3G.
